Individuals who confirmed their address information for September 9, demonstrating their residency in the Marrakesh-Safi province, will be granted $100 worth of Binance coin each.
Binance, the cryptocurrency exchange, has announced its intention to distribute a collective sum of $3 million in BNB tokens to individuals residing in regions impacted by the September 8 earthquake in Morocco.
Individuals who had verified their address details before September 9, confirming their residence in Marrakesh-Safi province, will be granted $100 worth of the token each. Users who complete the verification process after this date will receive $25 in BNB.
The airdrop is expected to benefit approximately 70,000 individuals, and Binance announced on Monday that the funds will arrive in users’ accounts today.
The recent earthquake in Morocco is reported to have claimed the lives of over 2,800 people, marking one of the deadliest earthquakes in the country in over six decades.
BNB serves as the primary token within the BNB Chain ecosystem, and according to CoinGecko data, it has experienced minimal fluctuations in the last 24 hours, with a trading price of approximately $209.
