Capital City Bank Named Among “Best Banks to Work For” By American Banker For 10 Years Running

TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Nov. 18, 2022 — Capital City Bank, a respected financial organization with over 125 years of community banking expertise in Georgia, Florida, and Alabama, has been named one of American Banker magazine’s “Best Institutions to Work For” for 2022. It received a ranking of #29 overall out of 90 banks nationwide and #7 in the category of banks with assets between $3 billion and $10 billion. Capital City Bank has been listed as one of the top employers in the financial sector for ten years, as of the 2022 edition, the tenth list produced by American Banker.

Bill Smith, chairman, president, and CEO of Capital City Group, stated that at Capital City Bank, employee satisfaction and well-being are our top priorities. “They invest in the Company by giving their time and talents to serving our clients, and we attempt to honor their investment by caring for them during and after their working years, the impact of which is obvious in the average length of tenure. I’m proud of our bankers and grateful that we’ve received ten national “Best Companies to Work For” awards.

Capital City Bank supports employees’ ongoing development and promotion since it sees them as the heart of the business. The Bank has a great benefits package that includes full insurance coverage, a 401(k) and associate stock purchase plan, paid time off, and a tuition reimbursement program. The Company emphasizes continual training initiatives, offering rewards for employees who pick up new skills and produce results by employing technology to speed up procedures.

According to Chana R. Schoenberger, editor-in-chief of American Banker, “the institutions honored on this list are working hard to establish workplaces that associates want to join.” “Banks are paying attention to how they can best retain their staff, especially when corporations are facing a shift in how, where, and how much workers work.”

Two steps were involved in selecting the “Best Banks to Work For.” The first involved examining each taking part bank’s workplace policies, procedures, and demographics. About 25% of the evaluation was allocated to this process step. The second involved employee surveys designed to evaluate employees’ perceptions of their work and experiences therein. About 75% of the evaluation was allocated to this procedure step. The total scores determined the ultimate ranking.

Banks had to be in operation for at least one year and have at least 50 employees working in the United States to be eligible to participate. The registration and survey procedures were managed by Best Companies Group, which also conducted the data analysis to produce the final ranking.
