Robinhood COO to retire at end of year

Gretchen Howard, the company’s COO, announced her resignation on Thursday, according to a statement from Robinhood Markets (NASDAQ:HOOD).

Howard told management of her intention to leave the company at the end of 2023, per the company’s 8-K filing. On April 3, 2023, Ms. Howard will move into an advisory position to support specific special projects for the CEO. She will continue to work for the company until January 1, 2024. The transition is reflected in a letter of agreement that has been signed.

Howard worked as a partner at CapitalG, the venture capital division of Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL), before her time at Robinhood. She was previously a vice president at Fidelity Investments before that.

On Thursday, shares of HOOD are down 0.38% in pre-market trade.
